[poweroften] Join SOS Sunday at the Parade

Power of Ten Update

Join us Sunday at the Parade:

This Sunday, August 18 will be the First Annual Ecuadorean Parade in Spring Valley.  During the month of August, the streets of Ecuador come alive with color, music, concerts, parades, cultural exhibitions and festivities. It is all in celebration of Ecuador's Independence Day that falls on August 10th.  The Ecuadorean Association of Spring Valley invites everyone of all backgrounds to come and celebrate with them.

The Save Our Schools Coalition – East Ramapo will be marching in the parade.  Recognizing the importance of quality public education for the very large Ecuadorean Community in Spring Valley, the Ecuadorean Association has chosen SOS advocate Steven White (editor of the Power of Ten) as the 'Padrino' of this year's parade.

SOS invites you to come and march with us under our banner, and to stay and enjoy the variety of cultural experiences which are the hallmark of our East Ramapo community.

We will assemble at Spring Valley Village Hall at 11 AM, and proceed to Memorial Park, where the festivities will continue all day.
